Commissioning of a Dinitrotoluene Plant in Germany

For a plant complex of a renowned German company, MEISSNER as main contractor has delivered a plant for the production of Dinitrotoluene (DNT) including the extension of an existing acid reconcentration plant. The DNT plant at a German production site has a capacity of 85,000 metric tons per year. In July 2000, a test run of the plant was performed successfully and on schedule within three weeks only. Like a DNT plant previously delivered to the same customer for the same production site, also the new plant works according to the well proven MEISSNER DNT process. The product of the plant is used for the manufacture of Toluenediisocyanate (TDI).
